Shopping mostly takes a fairly low priority in our overseas trips, as we prefer nature and museums much more to shops. Nonetheless, we reserved half a day for shopping on the last day of our trip. And there are no shortage of shops in the Umeda district where our hotel is located.
Before heading for the shops, we checked out one more landmark nearby --- the Umeda Sky Building. A prominent feature of the futuristic architecture is the Floating Garden Observatory at the top of the building, accessed by a pair of external escalators that lead up to the circular rim of the Observatory. The Observatory offers stunning 360 degrees views of the Osaka city.
